Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness, show support for those affected and encourage people to be mindful of their breast health.

Breast cancer can affect people of different ages, and being familiar with your own body and aware of changes can help you recognise when something may need further attention. If you notice any unusual changes or have concerns about your breast health, it is important to speak with your GP or healthcare professional.

This October, our team joined together by wearing pink as a simple way of showing our support and helping to keep breast cancer awareness at the forefront.

We stand with everyone affected by breast cancer - those living with the disease, those undergoing treatment, survivors, families, friends and carers. 🩷

Celebrating Patrick Clifford

We recently had the pleasure of coming together to celebrate a very special achievement - the creation of our new company anthem.

The anthem was created with Patrick Clifford, one of the people we support, whose creativity and talent brought this project to life. What started as a poem became something truly meaningful, bringing together the people we support, our team, and the wider community.

We were delighted to celebrate the launch of the song at a special event, where we had the opportunity to hear the anthem, recognise the work that went into creating it, and celebrate the person at the heart of it all.

It was a wonderful occasion filled with music, smiles and plenty of pride, and a reminder of the importance of creating opportunities for the people we support to share their talents, express themselves and be recognised for their achievements.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special and, most importantly, to Patrick for creating something that we are incredibly proud to call our company anthem. ❤

Connecting Across Our Organisation

Our team recently attended a quarterly gathering with colleagues from across the organisation.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen the collaborative approach that helps us deliver high-quality care and support to our clients.

We were also delighted to meet Marty Morrissey, our newly appointed Brand Patron for the year, and enjoyed being part of such a positive and engaging day.

Darkness Into Light

On Saturday, members of our team proudly took part in Darkness Into Light in support of Pieta and the vital services they provide to individuals and families affected by suicide and self-harm.

The annual event brings communities together across Ireland and beyond, offering an opportunity to show support, raise awareness, and stand in solidarity with those who may be struggling.

We were honoured to participate in such a meaningful event and to join thousands of others in helping to shine a light on mental health and wellbeing.

A sincere thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, donated, or showed their support. Together, we can continue to raise awareness and encourage important conversations around mental health.

Community Easter Update

This Easter, we were delighted to support our local community by making a donation to Tallaght Community Table.

Easter is a time for coming together, and we wanted to contribute in a meaningful way by helping provide support to those in our community who may need it most.

Denim Day for Dementia

Our team recently took part in Denim Day for Dementia, a nationwide initiative led by the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland to raise awareness and support for individuals and families affected by Dementia.

The day provided a wonderful opportunity to come together, show our support, and highlight the importance of understanding and compassion for those living with Dementia.

At Bluebird Care, supporting people living with Dementia is a key part of the care we provide every day. We are proud to support initiatives like Denim Day for Dementia that help raise awareness and strengthen support within our community.

This December, our team got into the festive spirit - both in the office and out in the community.
