Shane Gibbons- General Manager
Shane is a high-impact healthcare leader with over 15 years of general management experience, including six years leading the operational and strategic delivery of community care at Bluebird Care Limerick. He currently oversees 300,000 care hours annually across a complex multidisciplinary portfolio, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care delivery at scale. With direct responsibility for 25,000 monthly care hours, Shane has extensive expertise in high-volume operations, service continuity, and clinical governance within fast-paced community settings. His leadership spans integrated services across Disability, Primary Care, Older Persons, and Mental Health, combining strategic oversight with operational excellence. Since joining the organisation in 2019, Shane has played a pivotal role in translating strategy into effective frontline delivery, balancing workforce planning, resource allocation, and financial sustainability to meet growing community demand. He has a strong track record in regulatory compliance and quality assurance within the national Bluebird Care framework, ensuring care is delivered safely, efficiently, and closer to home. His leadership is driven by a commitment to enabling clients to live their best lives as independently as possible.
Jai Hiremath- Clinical Nurse Manager 3
Jai has been working as the CNM3 and Clinical Lead in Bluebird Care for over two years. He completed his B.Sc. in Nursing at Rajiv Gandhi University and began his career as a nursing tutor before moving into the A&E department of one of India’s leading hospitals. He later returned to education, working as a lecturer and eventually as a principal in a nursing college. After relocating to Ireland, Jai worked as a CNM2 in a nursing home before completing his M.Sc. in Advanced Health Practice. He now leads the clinical team, drawing on extensive experience across education, emergency care, and senior clinical management.
Valerie Carroll- Clinical Nurse Manager 1
Valerie has been with Bluebird Care since 2018 and works as a CNM1 with a strong focus on older person services. Her key areas include overseeing prescriptions, bowel care, and delivering the clinical training required to support these services. She brings 41 years of nursing experience, working across a wide range of settings, including acute care, long‑term care, and palliative care. Her extensive clinical background, combined with her practical approach, ensures high standards of care and strong support for staff and clients alike.
Jessica Mullins- Human Resource Business Partner
Jessica is the HR Business Partner for Bluebird Care, bringing five years of HR experience in the home care sector. She holds a BA in HRM Strategy and Practice and has strong experience in employee relations, workplace support, and managing the full employee lifecycle. Jessica also holds a Certificate in Accounting and Finance and a QQI Level 5 in Pre‑Nursing, giving her strong insight into both operational needs and frontline care. In addition to her HR role, she serves as the Data Protection Officer for the Limerick office, ensuring high standards of data compliance across the organisation.
Priya Gurung- Finance Assistant
Priya began her career in Bluebird Care as a Coordinator before progressing into her current role as Finance Assistant. She now supports key financial functions, including payroll and billing/invoicing. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance, and BA in Business Studies, bringing strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial processes to the team.
Janaina Masiero- Homecare Supervisor
Janaina has been with Bluebird Care for 2 years and is an experienced Homecare Supervisor with a nursing qualification and extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Skilled in overseeing care delivery, supporting care teams, and ensuring high standards of person-centred care. Demonstrated expertise in staff recruitment, onboarding, and workforce development, with a strong ability to identify and attract high-quality healthcare professionals.
Amy Hackett- Senior Care Coordinator
Amy brings 4 years of experience in the home care industry, beginning her career as a Senior Healthcare Assistant before moving into the coordinating team. Before joining the company six months ago, she worked in the rostering team of another care provider, giving her a strong grounding in scheduling and staff support. She holds qualifications as a Special Needs Assistant and a QQI Level 5 in Pre‑Nursing Studies. Her combination of frontline care experience and coordination skills supports her practical, informed approach to rostering.
Robson Muller - Care Coordinator
Robson has been with the company for 3 years, starting as a Healthcare Assistant before moving into the rostering department. He now works as part of the coordination team, supporting daily scheduling operations. Before joining Bluebird Care, he spent seven years working in the Brazilian police force. He also holds a professional management qualification.
Thayna Casey- Care Coordinator
Thayna joined the team in 2025 and works as part of the rostering department, supporting the coordination of carers across services. She previously worked as a Project Manager, gaining experience in planning and managing complex workloads. She also holds a degree in Biomedical Research, bringing strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to her role.
