Our care team have the expertise and experience to support children with physical & intellectual disabilities  and those who may have autism, sensory impairment and communication difficulties.

What is paediatric home care?

Paediatric homecare is a type of flexible, person-focused support for children, designed to help them live rich, rewarding lives, no matter their needs.

Led by experienced nurses and delivered in the familiarity of home, our services provide tailored support for children with complex needs, including autism, sensory impairments, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.

We’ll work with you to understand your child’s needs and design a care plan that makes sure they’re fully supported, working with GPs and public health nurses to ensure continuity of care.

Our approach to paediatric care

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to paediatric care, so we’ll tailor your child’s support to their unique needs, working with you to design a care plan that offers them the support they need, in a way that suits them.

Before we start supporting your child, we’ll spend time getting to know them, developing a rapport and learning their preferred styles of communication.

Our support plans are as flexible as you need them to be, and can include a wide variety of services such as:

• One-to-one support at school
• Support to attend social groups and clubs 
• Help with personal care, including bathing and toileting
• Accompaniment to medical appointments 
• Mobility support, both at home and beyond

Once we’ve established what type of care your child needs, and how they’d like to receive it, we’ll match them with a care professional who we feel will be the perfect match.

Complex paediatric care

Our complex paediatric care services are delivered in the safety and comfort of home and designed to offer expert-led support with even the most challenging of conditions.

We’ll work closely with your family and external care professionals, such as doctors and community nurses, to provide tailored support, with a strong focus on everyday well-being.

Whether it’s support with physical disabilities such as severe mobility issues, nutrition and feeding support, or help with neurodevelopmental issues such as autism or learning disabilities, our complex care services can help with tailored, multi-disciplinary support.

Respite care for families

Whether you’re needed for a work trip, suddenly called to support a sick relative, or simply need time to rest and recharge, our respite care for families can help.

Designed to offer continuity in your child’s support, our respite care services ensure that their needs are met until you’re able to return to your caring duties.

And you don’t have to worry about disrupting your child’s routines and environment—our respite services are delivered at home, reducing any unnecessary upheaval.

Palliative and end-of-life care for children

Overnight & night care for children

If your child needs a little extra support at night, we’ve got you.

Our overnight care services offer a wide range of support for children with complex needs, including help getting ready for and into bed and assistance during the night if required.

Our services are designed to ensure your child enjoys the most restful, comfortable sleep possible, and we’ll tailor their support to their unique needs and preferences.

Our partnership with Cliona’s Foundation 

We’re proud of our partnership with Cliona’s Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting the families of seriously ill children across Ireland.

Together, we’ve been working tirelessly to raise awareness of the emotional and financial challenges faced by families, as well as challenging the misconception that care begins and ends in hospital.

To date, Cliona’s Foundation has supported over 1,700 families across Ireland and our work together is set to continue as we strive to educate people on the realities of caring for seriously ill children.

So far, our work has supported 1,700 families across Ireland, and we’ve got no intentions of stopping there.
