Youghal Clock Gate Tower is a wonderful place to learn about local history and enjoy some of the best views in the area. Visitors can climb to the fifth-floor viewing platform and look out across Youghal Bay, Youghal Lighthouse and the town itself. It’s a lovely way to take in the coastline, enjoy the scenery and see Youghal from a different view. The tower has more than 700 years of history behind it. Over the years, it has been used as a storehouse, a town gaol and even a family home.
