Bluebird Care Meath Shortlisted for Meath Business and Tourism Awards 2022

Bluebird Care Meath is delighted to announce it has been shortlisted in the Education and Training award in the Meath Business and Tourism Awards 2022.

This acknowledgment showcases the significant steps Bluebird Care Meath has made in ensuring education and training for their staff. It guarantees their customers get the best possible care from those who work for them. 

The next step in the award competition will see Bluebird Care Meath present to judges during an evening in AIB Navan.  

“Our ambition is to simply be the best Home Care provider in Co Meath.” said J.J. Fay Director of Bluebird Care Meath “It is only through a commitment to continuous improvement, particularly in our key assets - our local staff - that we maintain and build upon this goal. 

Fay added “Given the nature of our service, Education and Training are not only of paramount importance, but a fundamental prerequisite of a career with Bluebird Care. Our operations team are led by Clinical Nurse managers, providing unparalleled clinical governance to both our clients and staff alike. One of our current Meath supervisors, Lorraine Flynn, along with two other staff members have recently received a ten year long service award in Navan, which is a great source of pride to the organisation.” 

Bluebird Care Meath opened its doors in April 2011 as Co Meath’s first dedicated Home Care Provider. In the intervening eleven and a half years the company has gone from strength to strength. 

Bluebird Care Meath is fully HSE approved and specialise in working with customers and their families who require care in their homes. They offer a service of personalised care visits from check-in visits to complex care support. They provide services across the age spectrum from children with care needs to older persons services. 

Since 2011 Bluebird Care Meath has created hundreds of jobs in the county. As education and training are essential to the positions held in the organisation and to alleviate barriers to entry in this key sector, Bluebird Care Meath supply all training and qualifications required for new applicants to both begin their career, and fulfil their career potential. 

They have a proud partnership to achieve this with Louth Meath Enterprise and Training Board. LMETB provide QQI Qualification in a classroom setting for all staff. Bluebird Care Meath also sponsored a yearly scholarship for LMETB Skills to Advance to reemphasize their commitment to assisting with community training needs.  

To date over 200 people have received the QQI Healthcare Award, as a result of their tenure with Bluebird Care Meath, which is a significant achievement.  

The final event for the Meath Business and Tourism Awards 2022 will take place in The Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim on Friday 25th November. The night will comprise of a stylish black-tie evening, with awards presented after a champagne reception and during a gala dinner.
